Emmerdale’s Katie Hill has revealed a complex love triangle is brewing for her character Sarah Sugden as she encounters the charming and mischievous newcomer Kammy.

In the upcoming episodes of the ITV soap, Sarah crosses paths with a young man struggling with a quad bike and finds herself embroiled in his questionable activities.

With stolen quad bikes and heart-pumping races across the fields, Sarah takes a walk on the wild side, which could spell trouble when Charity stumbles upon her and Kammy’s growing closeness.

Meanwhile, Sarah’s current relationship with trainee doctor Jacob Gallagher sees an uncertain future. Speaking to the press, Katie shared insights on her character’s dilemma: “I think Sarah genuinely does like Jacob.

“It’s her first mature relationship she’s had and all her previous boyfriends she’s had have been the bad boy type and messed her around a bit. It’s very different with Jacob.”

She adds that although Kammy might stir up some excitement, “Kammy is a really fun, bubbly, cheeky chap character but he’s got a soft side as well.

“I think the audience are really going to like him. I can’t wait to see where Sarah and Kammy go together and I think he’s going to be a really good character.”

Katie went on to open up about the potential for a love triangle in the storyline, saying: “Yes, that will definitely be on the cards.”

She continued: “Kammy is a bit of a bad boy and Jacob is a training doctor and way more sensible than what Kammy is so it’ll be interesting to see which way she’ll go but it’s been fun for me to dip in and out of both sides of Sarah.”

Katie added: “Kammy brings out her Dingle side and Jacob sort of brings her back. You’ll have to wait and see what happens with that.”

airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
