Despite being thousands of miles away, the seems to be extremely popular in America. As well as dominating the UK news, the royals are also a popular topic when it comes to the American press.
However, questions have been raised over the years on which royal is the most popular in the US. This has now been revealed in which has asked more than 1,000 Americans for their opinions on members of the Royal Family, both past and present. The new poll saw over 1,000 Americans questioned about who their favourite royal is, with the highest number of people answering Diana, Princess of Wales, who tragically died in a car accident in 1997.
In second place was the late Queen Elizabeth II, followed by in third place. The American people then voted in fourth place and surprisingly listed Princess Kate in fifth position.
