Tomatoes are a staple of many meals – salads, pizzas, , and so much more. However, some people find it extremely tedious to stand there and chop them one by one – but there’s no other way, right?
Well, turns out you’re wrong, as Jamie Oliver has shared an amazing method to ensure that your tomatoes can be chopped in ‘seconds’. The celebrity chef joked that he was trying this hack because the internet told him to, and there are many online hacks that are easy to disprove. This wasn’t one of them, however, and he was seriously impressed with the results.
As part of his ‘One Pound Wonders’ series, he put a bunch of cherry onto a plate, saying: “I’ve seen a on the internet, and I wanna see if I can do it”.
Next, he shared that he put a plate on top of the tomatoes, which will no doubt leave viewers baffled and wondering what’s next.

Well, you need to cut through the gap between the two plates and hope for the best. “Does it work?” Jamie asked. He was gobsmacked to find that “it does work,” as he opened his mouth in surprise, showing off the chopped tomatoes.
If you try this method, it will be so much easier to pop those tomatoes into a salad or on pizza.
A word of warning, those attempting this method need to be seriously careful with a knife, as it can cause serious injuries if not used properly. If you’re not used to chopping tomatoes in the regular, more fiddly way, it’s best to avoid trying this method.
