‘Temptation Island’ cast: Meet the couples and tempters in the Netflix reboot

Netflix is rounding out its ever-growing roster of reality dating series with the addition of “Temptation Island,” and we have the entire cast below.

Set to premiere on March 12, “Temptation Island” is a show that has aired on both Fox and USA Network since its original debut in 2001.

The concept is quite simple, and oh so juicy: Four couples facing relationship challenges head to a tropical island and spend time apart. While separated, they will live with a group of “tempters” who will try to prevent them from remaining faithful.

Whether they’re navigating prior infidelity, emotional issues or financial woes, each couple comes into the experiment with their own set of baggage to unpack while they are on the island.

Each pair also sets boundaries to determine how much or how little physical interaction is allowed with the tempters. Will the couples stick to those rules? That’s what makes it so fun to watch.

Throughout the experiment, host Mark L. Walberg leads participants through the wild journey that tests their relationships. He also helps them process their emotions when they see short clips of what their partners have been up to at each bonfire meeting.

The main couples:

Shanté and Brion

Brion Whitley and Shanté GloverTyler Golden / Netflix

Shanté Glover is a 29-year-old who works in the clinical health care field and also dabbles as a Pilates instructor. Brion Whitley is a 26-year-old who works in medical and pharmaceutical sales.

After one year of dating, the couple has started talking about their future and possibly building a family together. But Brion’s desire to explore their sexual relationship and his prior infidelity make Shanté question if he can stay faithful.

Their hopes for the experiment: “I want to learn how to be more patient in conversation and listen more,” Brion told Netflix’s Tudum.

Meanwhile, Shanté was hoping to challenge herself and see if Brion could learn how to be more vulnerable.

Ashley and Grant

Ashley Moore is a 28-year-old accountant/CPA and entrepreneur. Grant Larsen is a 28-year-old business owner with a daughter from a prior relationship.

The couple has been dating on and off for a year and a half as they struggle to overcome Grant’s infidelity from the early days of their relationship.

Their hopes for the experiment: Ashley told Tudum she was hoping to find her “carefree self” on the island and said she wasn’t too worried about falling for one of the tempters. “I am not easily tempted. When I am committed, I’m all in,” she said.

Grant was ready to prove that he has changed since he first started dating Ashley. “I have given into temptation in the past, but going into this experience, I feel ready to hold up to the temptation,” he said.

Alexa and Lino

Alexa Santamaria is a 28-year-old labor and delivery travel nurse. Lino Troisi is a 28-year-old health coach and personal trainer.

After three years of dating, the couple has agreed to go on “Temptation Island” to make sure their bond is solid before taking the next step. They’re also looking to tackle a few issues: namely, Alexa’s decision to date other people despite being exclusive with Lino when they first got together. Additionally, Lino has moved three times for Alexa’s job, making him feel like his life is in limbo.

Their hopes for the experiment: Alexa told Tudum she was searching for her independence on the show. “When you’re deeply in love, it’s easy to become codependent, and I believe this experience will help me assess whether I truly need Lino in my life or if it’s simply that I deeply want him to be in my life forever,” she said.

Tayler and Tyler

Tayler Byrd is a 30-year-old health education specialist and certified personal trainer. Tyler Breshears is a 27-year-old who works in sales and also models.

Tayler and Tyler started dating soon after he ended his six-year marriage.

Tyler told Tudum he wasn’t concerned that his girlfriend would be tempted on the island. “She’s older, dated around, and ready for something real. I’ve never doubted that when she’s with me, she’s fully in it,” he said.

However, Tayler had some doubts because Tyler had previously “been tempted outside of the relationship.”

Their hopes for the experiment: Tyler told Tudum he wanted to get to know himself during the experiment. “I want to work on understanding myself better — what I need in a relationship, what I have to offer, and whether I am truly in a place to commit,” he explained.

Tayler wanted to find security in her relationship. “I want my partner to use this experience as a way to find himself and from that place of self-discovery, confidently choose me as his partner,” she said.
