‘s Sussex recently following the launch of her new Netflix show. However, a royal has now come out to dismiss her claims with a three-word rebuke. The Duchess of Sussex appeared in an awkward moment in With Love, Meghan, when during an episode, her pal and actress Mindy Kaling .
Meghan was seen correcting her friend, saying: “It’s so funny you keep saying, . You know, I’m Sussex now. You have kids and you go ‘No, I share my name with my children.’ I didn’t know how meaningful it would be to me but it just means so much to go ‘This is our family name. Our little family name.'” The duchess’s surname was once again in the spotlight after last week, and the host called her “Meghan Sussex,” which was the first time she was addressed in that manner publicly.

But now King Charles’s second cousin Lord Ivar Mountbatten, has hit out at the duchess saying that “she’s completely incorrect” when it comes to Sussex being her last name.
The aristocrat, who has also appeared on The Traitors US, told magazine that Meghan’s real surname would be Mountbatten-Windsor.
He explained: “It’s interesting because she’s completely incorrect. Her family name is not Sussex, her family name is Mountbatten-Windsor.
“Her children are called Archie and Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor; they’re not called Archie and Lilibet Sussex because Sussex is a title.”

He added: “So, they are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but actually he’s Harry Mountbatten-Windsor and she would be Meghan Mountbatten-Windsor.
“My brother is the Marquess of Milford Haven, but his surname is Mountbatten, so he’s called George Mountbatten, the Marquess of Milford Haven.
“When I read that, it was an article about her new programme, and she said that her family name is Sussex.”
He also gave a subtle swipe regarding Mehgan’s latest show, saying: “I might be interested to watch it; it might not last long.”
