No matter how often we our homes, dust often creeps back up in hidden nooks and crannies. And if you suffer from , hidden layers of dust lurking in places we can’t see could make you feel more sniffly. As we approach spring, it’s the perfect time to give those forgotten-about corners of your home a tidy. But getting to those harder-to-reach places with a vacuum, damp cloth and duster to ensure it’s all gone can feel like quite a chore.
However, there is an easier way to collect dust without having to turn your home upside down and get down on all fours. a.k.a. The Queen of Clean, has shared her trick for getting rid of hidden layers of dust by using one household item that will sweep it up in minutes. In a video posted to , Lynsey () explained how she used a tumble dryer sheet over her vacuum nozzle to pick up dust from behind her radiator cover in seconds.

She wrote in the caption, “I used a tumble dryer sheet over my vacuum nozzle to grab even more dust (the static really helps!), then wiped everything down with warm, soapy water.”
In the same way that tumble dryer sheets are used to eliminate static electricity from clothes, they quickly pick up dust thanks to being coated in fabric softener. They’re also packed with antibacterial properties, which makes them ideal for repelling dust and odours.
Lynsey shows how one tumble dryer sheet can quickly suction away dust in a matter of moments, making for a much more efficient clean.
