has just dropped a chilling new documentary series, “American Manhunt: Osama Bin Laden,” that takes viewers back to the hunt for the world’s most wanted man following the devastating 9/11 attacks.
Launching on the platform today (March 10), the three-part series delves into gut-wrenching and sobering events with first-hand accounts from those caught in the terror.
The initial episode gives a graphic insight into the horror of the Twin Towers and Pentagon attacks including personal stories from survivors.
In a harrowing recollection, Navy Action Officer Kevin Shaeffer revealed his ordeal inside the Pentagon, stating: “Never did any of us inside of the Pentagon think our safety was at risk, to us it was a fortress.”
Reflecting on the moment disaster struck, he said: “I felt the blast come from behind, immediately I sensed I was on fire. Everything was burning all around me, I was plowing my way through, I could finally see some glimpses of daylight.”

He continued, sharing the harrowing aftermath: “My adrenaline surged, I stood up and I walked out of what was a big punch out hole. I had been burned on over 40% of my body, I had inhaled so much jet fuel and smoke.”
Shaeffer then shared the grave reality of his injuries: “I flatlined twice. On my branch, I was the only sole survivor,” as the documentary poignantly displays footage of his rescue.
The September 11 attacks were a series of four coordinated terrorist strikes by al-Qaeda against the US in 2001.
Nineteen terrorists commandeered four commercial planes, with the first two devastatingly crashing into New York City’s Twin Towers of the World Trade Center.

The third plane was driven into the Pentagon, while a fourth plummeted into a rural Pennsylvania field during an uprising by passengers. This marked the most lethal terrorist attack in history, claiming the lives of 2,977 innocent civilians and plunging the world into grief.
Osama Bin Laden, the leader of al-Qaeda, admitted to orchestrating these horrific attacks, sparking a nearly decade-long manhunt for him. A new documentary delves into the extensive efforts to locate the world’s most sought-after man and reveals how the US government narrowly missed capturing him on multiple occasions.
It also highlights the moment he was finally apprehended and the mission devised by then-president Barack Obama and the US Navy.
