Jason Isaacs talks his shocking nude scene in ‘The White Lotus’

Warning: This post contains spoilers for Season 3 of “The White Lotus.”

Patrick Schwarzenegger isn’t the only actor on Season 3 of “The White Lotus” to star in a nude scene.

Schwarzenegger’s on-screen dad Jason Isaacs, who plays Timothy Ratliff on the show, bared it all when his robe came undone in Episode 4 — in front of members of his own family.

The shocking moment comes as authorities appear to be closing in on Tim’s financial crimes, leading him to be become more dependent upon his wife’s lorazepam prescription. And in his anti-anxiety stupor, he doesn’t realize his robe has popped open in his hotel suite, exposing himself in front of his family.

While two of his adult children, played Sarah Catherine Hook and Sam Nivola, cringe and covere their eyes in terror, his eldest son, portrayed by Schwarzenegger, and on-screen wife played by Parker Posey, both laugh at the wardrobe mishap.

Isaacs, 61, talked about the raunchy scene in an interview with Entertainment Weekly published on March 9.

“Yeah, it is now in my contract for every show I do, so we’ll see,” Isaacs said with a laugh. “It’ll get easier, hopefully.”

Fans were quick to post their reactions on social media, which ranged from horrified to … well, excited.

“that jason isaacs scene in this week’s episode of the white lotus,” one X user posted alongside a GIF of a woman screaming and slamming her laptop shut.

“JASON ISAACS’ ROBE COMING OPEN AND SHOWING HIS BASILISK?!” another person posted on X, in a reference to Isaacs’ previous role as Lucius Malfoy in the “Harry Potter” series.

“A reminder that Jason Isaacs has always been that b—-,” an X user wrote.

“To Jason Isaacs on the White Lotus:” another X user posted, alongside a GIF that reads, “I owe you an apology, I wasn’t familiar with your game.”

“jason isaacs…” an X user wrote in a post with a photo of director Martin Scorsese biting his own finger.

Isaacs hinted in his Entertainment Weekly interview that Tim’s financial secrets will become “unavoidable” as the rest of the season continues on.

“I just remember thinking, ‘I’ve got to go big — go big or go home.’ And then when things happen that I can’t talk about particularly, something else had to kick in, and there’s a mania and a terror that you have to access,” he said. “You’ve got to get there. I mean, you’ve got to be as real as you can. And yeah, there was some inner gear changes required.”

The stakes do heat up for Tim as the episode continues — after spending the day with his family on Greg’s yacht, he’s at dinner with his wife and daughter when he decides to ask for his phone back from a hotel employee. The Ratliff family’s phones are locked in a safe to help them stay present and mindful during their week at the resort.

When he gets his phone and turns it on, it starts blowing up with calls and texts from his lawyer and some of his employees.

He calls his lawyer back, who tells him his business partner Kenny is cooperating with investigators, and that Tim should do the same — in hopes that he can cut a plea deal and hopefully spend just a few months in federal prison.

Tim freaks out, asking what he’s supposed to tell his family, and that his career would be ruined if he went to prison for fraud.

He hangs up the phone and begins to dry heave outside of the front of the hotel, until he looks up into the resort’s security hut — and sees Gaitok’s new gun, which he left out on a desk as he went to escort Mook to her performance at the hotel.

And as we know from Episode 1, gunfire breaks out at the resort before a body starts to float in waters of the resort.

While it’s unclear if Tim is a part of the shooting, there’s trouble in paradise for other vacationers at the hotel, too. Belinda winds up searching for Greg Hunt, Tanya McQuoid’s husband, on the internet, and finds out he’s wanted for questioning in Italy in connection with Tanya’s drowning death.

She sees Greg, who’s going by Gary in Thailand, speaking with the hotel manager Fabian at the front desk, and walks by him with wide eyes.

Meanwhile, on Greg’s yacht, Saxon and Lochlan Ratliff party with Chelsea and Chloe on the way to the Full Moon Party. The rest of the Ratliffs went back to the resort and Greg had to take care of some business at home.

That specifics of that business are revealed during the episode’s eerie end. Greg looks at at Belinda’s Instagram and clicks on a photo of her and her son Zion, who is on his way to the resort to visit his mother.

Who is in danger — and who is involved in the gunfire — remains to be seen. New episodes of “The White Lotus” air on HBO on Sundays at 9 p.m., and are available to stream on Max.
