Erdem navy ensemble

In 2023, which was the first Commonwealth Day Service since Queen Elizabeth II died, Princess Kate donned a stunning Erdem navy ensemble which featured a peplum jacket and matching midi skirt, and I think this was one of her best looks to date.

The global fashion icon rarely puts a foot wrong when it comes to what she wears, and she looked absolutely flawless. This was a bold move by Kate as that style was not in fashion or being tested out on the runway; we hadn’t seen this trend for several years. She perfectly entwined modern femininity with a hint of vintage chic.

and are set to make a huge comeback this year – with critics predicting that we could see this as one of the biggest looks this year.

The Princess of Wales was under the microscope back in 2020, as the Commonwealth Day Service marked the final engagement for and before they officially stepped back as senior royals.

While scenes in the abbey appeared frosty, Kate curated a stunning red outfit. She stepped out in a sophisticated red coat dress with a matching fascinator.

Princess Kate advocates sustainable fashion and decided to re-wear the Catherine Walker ensemble she wore on Christmas Day in 2018.

The monochromatic design also featured a dazzling hat that featured a rose accent, burgundy gloves and pumps and a pair of drop earrings and her hair looked sleek in a chignon bun.

The Commonwealth emblem flag consists of a golden globe surrounded by 34 golden spears that form the letter “C” which sits against a blue backdrop. Princess Kate made a subtle nod to the flag in 2022 in a bright blue look.

Princess Kate matched her Catherine Walker coat dress with a fascinator and opted to wear a sapphire jewellery set that once belonged to Princess Diana.

This design is a staple in Princess Kate’s wardrobe, as she has been snapped wearing it three times. Following Commonwealth Day in 2022, she wore it again during the Easter service the following year and then again at the King’s coronation celebration in Scotland the same year.

In 2018, Princess Kate was heavily pregnant with her third child, Prince Louis. The Princess of Wales opted for a navy Beulah London coat for the ceremony in 2018 which was a rather subdued, dark blue tone.

This is unlike Kate, as she is often seen in bright and vibrant colours. However, the design nipped her in just below her bust to show off her blooming bump.

She also sported a sparkling diamond brooch that featured a bouquet of crystal flowers with ruby, sapphire and diamond gemstones — the glittery lapel ornament matched her floral earrings. She first sported these during a panel discussion with the Duchess of Sussex at their first official joint engagement.

At the time, she was pregnant with her second child, Princess Charlotte. The Princess of Wales wore an elegant baby pink coat for the outing, showcasing her baby bump as she walked into the ceremony.

She had previously worn the coat by Alexander McQueen while pregnant with Prince George at Trooping the Colour in 2013.

The stunning garment featured a pearl effect button, with Kate accessorising with a matching sculpted hat, Kiki McDonough cushion drop earrings and a Prada clutch.
