Blood, sweat and vomit are some of the hardest, and most frequent, stains thousands of people have to tackle day in and day out when handling their .

But cleaning expert Roo, who goes by the username @rooshome on the social media platform, is now sharing her top hacks to avoid a headache whenever clothes and linens .

Roo joined forces with the new advice platform to offer anyone in need of quick and reliable advice on how to her support.

She said: “Whether it’s a shaving cut you didn’t notice before climbing into bed, Mother Nature making her presence known or a sweat storm in the pits of your gym kit… blood, sweat and everything in between is just a part of life.

“Fortunately, that doesn’t mean you need to chuck every bit of laundry that ends up with suspicious stains. Here are five laundry hacks you need in your life.”

Stock up on white vinegar

is not only one of the best all-natural fabric softeners, but it’s also a powerhouse against sweat. Spray it onto the you’ve been sweating in (like your gym kits, cleaning clothes, PJs etc).

Then simply put the items in the wash as usual with your detergent and fabric softener (or alternatively, add a in the drawer for a natural option. I promise it won’t smell like vinegar!).

How to remove vomit stains:

No matter who was sick, be it your pet, child or even you, vomit can be cleaned up easily and the . Just mix with a few tablespoons of water to make a paste.

Spread this paste evenly over the vomit stain. After treating the area with the paste, wash the items as you normally would with your usual detergent and fabric conditioner.

How to remove gum or glue from clothes:

If you’ve got a sticky mess on your clothes from , don’t just chuck it in the wash. This could make the gum melt and spread to other clothes.

Instead, on it or popping the whole thing in a freezer bag and into the freezer for a bit. Then, use a butter knife to carefully scrape off any stickiness.

Before you wash it, treat the area with white vinegar and then put it on a cold wash with your normal washing powder.

How to remove blood stains:

You should always (not hot, as this can embed the stain further). Pre-treat the stain with detergent and popping in the washing machine on a cold wash.

Cold is gold when removing blood and most stains will come out with one wash, but if any remain, repeat the process.

How to keep your socks always fresh:

Revive your dull, sweaty socks and combat bacteria lurking in them by adding them to a bucket or sinkful of warm water along with a generous and leaving them to soak overnight.

Wring out the socks before working detergent directly onto any stubborn stains that remain on them and wash on cold.
