Formula One fans have urged to axe a pundit who has spoken out about her support for in the past. The American president returned to office this year, but his politics and personality continue to split opinion.
For Danica Patrick, a former racing driver, her stance couldn’t be more clear: she’s firmly pro-Trump. The Wisconsin-born endorsed Trump in the lead up to the 2024 US , in which he was fighting against Vice President of the Biden administration, .
Patrick has been a regular on Sky Sports’ Formula One coverage in the past, but in the build-up to the new season, motorsport fans have urged the broadcaster to axe the Trump supporter. Responding to a promotional video that teased an upcoming pundit line-up announcement, social media users pleaded with Sky Sports not to involve Patrick in their coverage.

Speaking at the time of the , Patrick said: “It feels like voting for is like the vote of reason. It’s like the rational, reasonable choice. There is a difference definitely between the way that men and women are voting, and I think maybe one of the reasons why women are having a harder time with the vote is just his [Trump’s] personality.
“That’s the most common answer you hear from people. ‘I just can’t vote for him.’ I don’t think that’s a good enough reason. You don’t have to go to dinner with him. You just have to like the country that you live in.’
“I feel like most of all, though, what this country could be if he gets into office, with all the amazing, brilliant people who are supporting him, I feel like it can not only make America great again but make America greater than it’s ever been.”
