Football legend is set to take centre stage in his upcoming Disney+ reality show – in a bid to boost ratings. The ex England star’s wife – who was runner up on last year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here – has just landed a £10million deal with streaming giant Disney+. And Wayne has assured Coleen he will do whatever it takes to make the show a success. A source said: “Wayne will be a big part of the show – and he is one of the main reasons why Disney were prepared to pay so much money to secure the rights.
“He’s agreed to be a big part of the programme and is looking forward to it. Wayne is a lot funnier than people think and producers believe viewers will love seeing how he and Coleen interact and lead their lives. Viewers will see Wayne and Coleen doing all the normal things that any couple do – the school-run, the shopping and sorting out the kids. But the programme will also provide a snapshot into the very glamorous life they enjoy too.”

The source added that Coleen, who secured the deal, is “delighted and hugely excited”. They added: “She’s buzzing about it and has wanted to do it for a while. Going on I’m A Celeb has been the perfect springboard.
“Her time on the ITV show also gave her the confidence to know that she can be a success on TV and a star in her own right.
“Coleen is keen to let the cameras in because she feels a lot of people really misunderstand who she is, how she lives her life and what she stands for.
“She’s often portrayed as someone who spends half her life on holiday when, in fact, her entire life revolves around her family and her work and this show will reflect that.”

runner-up Coleen was believed to be at the centre of a bidding war between streaming services, with Amazon Prime Video also bidding for her signature.

The show will adopt an “at-home-with” style, featuring former England skipper Wayne Rooney, 39, and their four sons: Kai, 14, Kit, 11, Klay, eight, and Cass, six.
Coleen is set to receive around £5 million for the series, with another £5 million paid to production company Lorton Entertainment.Lorton was the firm behind Coleen’s previous TV show, Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story and centred around the former WAG’s high-profile legal tussle with Rebekah Vardy.
