There’s nothing quite like baked potatoes.

They’re tasty, filling and can be stuffed with all sorts of tempting flavours. But them to perfection isn’t always easy to get right.

Jess, known as jessthomofit on , often shares healthy online, but she recently turned her attention to baked potatoes. She said there’s a “secret” to getting them right every time.

Don’t miss…

Once this step is done, she simply sprays it with a little olive oil spray to ensure it’s well-coated. From here, shes sprinkles some salt over the top and wraps the spud up in foil.

It’s up to you whether you use an oven or an air fryer to cook your potato from here. Jess uses an air fryer, and she cooks it at 205 degrees for 45 minutes.

When she uses this method, she claims she’s left with a “delicious” potato every time. It also looks super crispy on the outside, which is what you want.

The spud looks totally enticing, and it’s really simple to try the technique out too. Jess showed just how easy it is to pull off the simple method.

One person said: “Thank you. I’ve been struggling to get mine to crisp up and there’s nothing worse than a soggy baked potato, is there?”

Another replied: “Does it cook wrapped in foil in the air fryer? I tried sausages wrapped in foil once but they didn’t seem to cook.”

Jess responded, saying: “Yep. Cooks great, and helps keep the skin from going overly crunchy and burnt.”

In the comments, she also confirmed that she cooks the potato in the microwave for about five minutes on a 700W device. She also noted they may take longer to cook than 45 minutes if you decide to bake them in the oven.
