Tottenham player ratings vs Bournemouth (4-3-3)
Guglielmo Vicario: 6
Saved from Evanilson in the opening minute after were exposed playing out from the back. Was then forced into a stop from Justin Kluivert minutes later as Spurs’ afternoon began poorly. Kept in it but and was never likely to end up on the winning team due to his side’s display.
Pedro Porro: 3
Gave the ball away too much and was guilty of giving up possession for the opening goal. Got himself into good positions at the other end of the pitch but had no end product.
Cristian Romero: 3
Got caught out in the first minute as Evanilson had an opportunity to put the visitors ahead. Looked rusty, especially early on, and was guilty of giving the ball away on too many occasions. Came off in the second half.
Kevin Danso: 6
Has shored up the Spurs backline since joining the club and was generally solid at the heart of defence. Dithered on the ball at times and wasn’t able to keep the Bournemouth attack at bay as Romero struggled next to him.

Often found himself drifting in midfield as he failed to stamp his authority on the match. Not the answer to ’s woes and could soon end up on the bench.
Pape Matar Sarr: 7
Was quiet in the first half but burst to life at the start of the second period as he drove his team forward. Had the chance to level the match midway through the second half but dragged his shot wide. Made amends with a fortuitous goal to give his side a lifeline just after Bournemouth’s second.
Brennan Johnson: 5
Was starved of the ball as he failed to sparkle in the final third and was hooked at half time as Son Heung-min came on to replace him.
