ITV Britain’s Got Talent viewers complain minutes in after show halted for announcement

Fans of Britain’s Got Talent have issued complaints after the was interrupted for an announcement on Saturday night. Ant and Dec took to the stage to confirm to the studio audience that was back on the show after taking a short break but following that fans shared their distaste.

YouTuber KSI had temporarily replaced Bruno as he had other work commitments. However, the former judge was back in his usual seat on Saturday. The show-stopping announcement was followed by a audition which scored a golden buzzer from judge – causing complaints from fans.

It was 11-year-old Oliver who won the special perk as he joined the stage revealing he wanted to become the best guitarist in the world. His musical skills wowed judges and audiences alike as the stadium provided a standing ovation at the end of the impressive performance.

Amanda gushed over him, saying: “A star is born. I have never seen anything like that before in my life,” before reaching to press her – following chants from the audience.

Head judge agreed with Amanda’s comments as he provided the child with heaps of praise. He said: “You already have your own distinct sound which others spend decades trying to do. You’re that good, seriously good. That was BRILLIANT. Good for you!”

But fans at home were frustrated with the performance, due to technical issues meaning that they couldn’t hear the guitar playing properly. Posting to social media, viewers shared their complaints.

On X/Twitter, one wrote: “You can’t even hear the guitar #bgt,” and another echoed: “Couldn’t hear him playing the backing track was so loud and it looked fake tbh”.

“Couldn’t tell because you played music over him,” a third penned. Meanwhile a fourth said: “Why is that annoying back ground music always playing. A lot better when the programme is live.”

Elsewhere, others thoroughly enjoyed the act and said that the Golden Buzzer was “well deserved”. One fan shared: “Some golden buzzers this year have been horrendous. But that 11 year old kid on the guitar deserved it. Absolutely class. #BGT”.

One more added: “#BGT this 11 year old guitar prodigy just blew us away in Britain’s got talent.”
