Gypsy Rose Blanchard is embracing her next chapter in life, including a new haircut.
Blanchard showed off her new hairstyle in a March 8 Instagram post, sharing two selfies with her new ‘do on display.
After going blonde in May 2024, Blanchard has most recently been rocking shoulder length brunette hair. This time, she opted for a new look, chopping off her locks for a sleek, chocolate brown bob.
“New year, new mom, new haircut, new me,” she wrote in the caption.
The new mom shared another photo of her haircut hours later, posting a mirror selfie on Instagram. In the snap, she was accompanied by her daughter, Aurora, who was concealed in the picture by her baby carrier.
Blanchard didn’t add much to the caption, only writing the hashtags “#momlife” and her name.
The “Gypsy Rose: Life after Lockup” star and her boyfriend, Ken Urker, are parents to daughter Aurora. Urker announced the birth of their child at the beginning of the year, sharing that he and Blanchard were starting 2025 as new parents.
Blanchard, who was in prison for eight years for her role in the 2015 murder of her mother Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, initially announced she was expecting in a now-deleted YouTube video posted in July 2024.
At the time, she said that her pregnancy “was not planned at all.” Though it was “completely unexpected,” she said she and Urker were “both very excited” to be parents.
She also addressed the potential critics of her decision to have children, adding, “I know that there are going to be people who feel like I’m not ready to be a mother.”
“I don’t know if anyone’s really ready to be a mother,” she said. “I just want to be a good mother for my child. I want to be everything my mother wasn’t.”
In recent months, Blanchard has made it clear that she will be shielding her daughter from the spotlight.
Days after Urker announced the birth of their daughter, she broke her silence on social media, sharing why she hadn’t posted anything about Aurora on her Instagram.
“To everyone asking, No, I will not be posting pictures of Aurora,” she wrote in an Instagram story on Jan. 6. “I understand everyone’s excitement and we appreciate the support, but we value the privacy and safety of our daughter.”
Blanchard gave her followers a rare glimpse of her daughter in an Instagram post shared on Valentine’s Day.
She posted a photo of Urker holding their daughter against his chest, though the photo only captured the back of her head.
