The final day of is underway at the NEC in Birmingham. The Express will follow along with the world’s largest and most prestigious show events as we gear up for the highly anticipated finals. Judges are facing the unenviable task of selecting the best dog from a field of impressive competitors, representing over 200 pedigree species in their respective categories.
Today, the working and pastoral dog will compete to be shortlisted for the chance to be crowned Best in Show. The schedule includes exciting events, including the agility and flyball competitions and the Friends for Life presentation.
Who will follow in the footsteps of last year’s Best in Show winner, the Australian shepherd, , from Solihull?

A round-up of Thursday’s events
Day 1 of Crufts saw thousands of dogs strut their stuff at the NEC Birmingham.
This included the judging of the terrier and hound groups in anticipation for this evening’s Best in Show. Each of the breeds in these two groups were judged and all the breed winners then proceeded to the group judging.
