have reignited talks with over a new contract as the club set out to secure the academy graduate’s future beyond 2027, according to reports. And it’s believed that Mainoo’s preference is to remain at under improved terms despite attractive interest from elsewhere.

The 19-year-old’s future has descended into uncertainty amid United’s rut on the pitch and financial ruin off it as INEOS prepare to raise funds through player sales this summer. Amorim has publicly praised Mainoo’s improvement since his November arrival and shared his optimism about the United No. 37’s potential.

“At the minute, it’s a hard moment at the club, but of course, I’m happy with Kobbie,” he explained in January.
