Randy Rainbow’s bewitching broadside on President Donald Trump has arrived. (Watch the video below.)
The comedian spoofed “Defying Gravity” from “Wicked” to riff on Trump’s “chaotic AF” second term.
“It time to cry buh-bye democracy,” Rainbow sings. “And watch this guy defy democracy. Would someone stop this clown!?”
He later tweaks the chorus to, “This thirsty whore ignoring sanity. So much for morals and humanity. They’ll never catch this clown.”
Rainbow plays both Elphaba and Glinda, the characters portrayed by Oscar-nominated actors Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, respectively, in the movie.
The comedian begins with his traditional faux interview of Trump ― who’s accompanied by tech billionaire Elon Musk this time. Rainbow lambasts Trump for “abusing executive power, making enemies of our allies” and for high grocery prices.
He notes to the pair that “it’s starting to feel super constitutional crisis-y.”
Then it’s time for the comedian to break into song.
“Who knew one guy could buy democracy?” Rainbow sings. “We let this guy defy democracy. And now we’re stuck in Crazy Town.”
