Kim Kardashian is grateful for her sister Khloé Kardashian.
While celebrating Khloé Kardashian’s 40th birthday on Season 6, Episode 5, of “The Kardashians,” Kim Kardashian recalled a meaningful gesture that her younger sister did for her when she was going through a divorce from music producer Damon Thomas.
“When Khloé was, like, just maybe 4 or 5 years old, she got this piggy bank that was like as tall as us, and it was a coke bottle, and we would put so much money in it. And when I was getting my first divorce, I moved out and I had no money. I think I was like, 21 and she was like, ‘Here you can have my Coke bottle,'” Kim Kardashian recalled.
The Good American co-founder also recalled the moment and said she remembered Kim Kardashian was weeping in front of her.
“She was crying in my room, and I was just like, ‘OK, I have this coke bottle. Let’s take what’s in here. Let’s go to the bank and let’s cash it, and let’s use this money for your divorce,’” she said.
“We stayed up all night counting it,” Kim Kardashian said. “It had $6,000 in it, and it was just enough for me to get the down payment on my apartment and pay my first and last month’s rent.”
Thanks to the kind gesture, Kim Kardashian got her sister the “same Coke bottle piggy bank” that they had when they were kids and she filled it up with 100 dollar bills.
“I was like, thank you. She gave me her life savings at 21 years old. She couldn’t believe I remembered the Coke bottle, and I was like how could I not?” Kim Kardashian said.
