Khloé Kardashian is taking a look down memory lane.
On Season 6, Episode 5, of “The Kardashians,” Kardashian took a little trip to San Ysidro Ranch with her best friend Malika Haqq. While there, she explained that this was the same place she visited with Lamar Odom when they were married.
“I actually stayed here before when I was married many moons ago,” she told Rian Widdess, head of marketing operations at the ranch. “We definitely took advantage of the jacuzzi and everything.”
“The water has been drained since,” Haqq joked.
“Thank you, Malika. It has,” Kardashian laughed back.
In a confessional, Kardashian was asked if she “processed (her) whole meeting with Lamar.”
The Good American co-founder reunited with the basketball star during the Season 6 premiere of “The Kardashians.” This was the first time they had seen each other in nine years.
“Are you glad you did it? Are you glad you met with him?” a producer asked.
However, Kardashian explained that she’s “still processing” the whole thing.
“Because our dad died so young, Lamar was like the first man that ever came in our lives that was the head of the household,” she said of the role he played in her family. “For all of us, Lamar was everyone’s protector, everyone. Even if someone was older, looked up to Lamar.”
“The way Lamar was on this pedestal, but, deservingly. So, I don’t know,” she continued. “But it made me sad because the demise of Lamar hurt and affected every single one of my family. We still love him and cherish him, but, that man is just not there. Like, seeing him at Malika’s, I was just like — I can’t help you anymore. You’ll never be the person that we all idolized.”
Kardashian and Odom got married in 2009. Four years later, she filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split.
