Horror as ‘400 bodies of Putin’s elite paratroopers’ pictured stashed in warehouse

Video footage reportedly shot inside a warehouse in Russia’s Far East shows the horrific cost of ‘s war in . Images seemingly show row upon row of dead Russian soldiers wrapped up in black plastic bags and awaiting transportation home.

The dead soldiers were reportedly from the elite 83rd Separate Guards Airborne Assault Brigade, which is fighting in the Kursk region. The video clip is believed to have been filmed inside a warehouse in Ussuriysk, a city in Primorsky Krai – seven time zones and 5,750 miles from the frontlines. According to one estimate, as many as 400 dead soldiers were lying in the storage facility.

As the camera shows the rows of corpses stacked up high, a voice says: “Ussuriysk, March 2025, the guys, the paratroopers are going back home. It is just awful.”

Ukrainian war analyst Yuriy Butusov said: “Today, servicemen from the 83rd Separate Guards Airborne Assault Brigade returned to their home port. Each one needs to be packed and taken to their address in Primorsky region.”

The soldiers reportedly were all killed during the same battle in the Kursk region, which has seen heavy fighting.

Putin has assembled an army of around 60,000 soldiers – including some 12,000 North Koreans – in an attempt to regain control of the territory.

The Ukrainians have stubbornly and bravely resisted Putin’s counteroffensive, inflicting heavy casualties in the process.

Oleksandr Syrsky, head of ‘s army, claimed in October that Putin’s army in Kursk had suffered 17,819 casualties.

Of those, a total of 6,662 troops had been killed, 10,446 wounded, and 711 captured.

Reports say that the 83rd Separate Guards Airborne Assault Brigade has suffered huge casualties in Kursk.

Ukrainian military analyst Dmitry Snegirev reported on February 25: “I want to stress colossal losses of personnel of Russian occupational troops. I am speaking about the 83d, so-called ‘Ussuriysk’ Brigade.

“We can conclude that from 480 personnel of this specific battalion, which was sent to the Kursk region, 400 of them were utilised (killed) by the Defence Forces of .”

The scale of these losses were “unprecedented for Russian troops”, he added.

“I also want to stress that the 83d brigade is considered to be one of the most elite brigades.”
