I don’t know when, I don’t know how, but I do know this: Halle Bailey’s son, Halo, just had the most heart-melting reaction to watching his mom play Ariel in the 2023 live-action remake of “The Little Mermaid.”

In a video posted to X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday, Bailey shows her toddler playing with a toy stethoscope while her film plays in the background.

The child, glued to the screen, watches intently as Bailey asks, “[Is] that Momma?”

With a smile on his face, Halo responds, “Momma.”

“That’s momma,” Bailey replies, giggling with the pride and joy. The singer captioned her tweet, “Guys i’m crying he actually knows ariel is me.”’

Halo was born in late December 2023. In an exclusive interview with People in February 2024, Bailey shared the deeply personal process behind selecting her son’s name.

“It was actually my boyfriend’s idea,” Bailey said. “He’s the one who came up with his name.”

Last October, Bailey and her partner DDG, born Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., called it quits after two years together.

“This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we’ve shared,” Granberry wrote about his relationship with “The Little Mermaid” star.

Holding her son’s hand, adorned with a tiny gold bracelet engraved with the word “Halo,” Bailey wrote, “Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥️.”
