If you’re on the lookout for a reliable smartwatch to track your gym goals or daily step count, then you’ll have likely come across , a brand known for its GPS-tracking products. A ‘go-to’ back in the day for car sat navs, but it’s also a huge rival with Samsung, Apple, and when it comes to fitness tracking.
Shoppers can get £171.50 off the price of the , a product that takes body health stats to a new level. Compared to the likes of , Garmin goes a step further with body battery levels. All of this is combined into the usual AMOLED display we see on most wearable tech devices nowadays.
Those looking for the deal will want to head over to Amazon as it adds the Garmin Venu 2 to its sale. Instead of £349.99, shoppers will get the device for £178.49 – a huge £171.50 discount. Jeweller is close behind with a slightly lesser discount—offering shoppers £150 off the device.

This GPS smartwatch has advanced health monitoring and fitness features to help you better understand what’s going on inside your body. It’s not known how long the offer will be around for. The comes with a sturdy screen and a sleek design, with its noticeable stainless steel bezel another feature seen on the more expensive – the rival model happens to be on sale at Goldsmiths with £424 cut off the price.
Of course, the Garmin Epix’s higher-end features still make it out of reach for many shoppers and even in the sale, it’s £400 plus. This makes the Venu 2 an ideal choice for those on a stricter budget.
“I bought this watch to replace my Apple Watch series 3 (screen cracked). I am usually very reluctant to stray from Apple products but I was struggling to justify the cost of the newest apple watches. However this is easily the best smart device I own,” said one recent shopper who bought the device from
It’s worth noting some shoppers have had issues with it disconnecting from phones. One such reviewer said: “Lots of features, this is certainly a well-specified watch. However, it repeatedly disconnects from the phone and has to be paired each time you restore the link.”
While another said: “Great product. Do buy a nylon or leatherstrap, as the default one is not great for heavy sport use, at least did not work for me as skin is not breathing enough, hoping Garmin to redesign strap or change material to more neutral.”
Despite its older age, it is still dubbed a good choice for general fitness and health tracking. The watch face’s glass is also a selling point. It goes beyond its strength and AMOLED display type – the glass doesn’t gleam in the sun, so exercise outside in summer is less intense on the eyes.

If you prefer to go out on runs or head to the gym without a phone, you can download a limited number of songs from Spotify, Amazon, and Deezer onto the device for limited-time streaming. This is maxed at 650, though, which may be a downside for some shoppers.
Often the big question on shoppers minds is if cheaper smartwatches – usually under the £200 mark – are worth picking over pricier . And one shopper answered exactly that. As they said: “Do I rate it higher than the Apple watch? Yes with a but.
“I don’t think I ever took full advantage of the Apple watch. It was great but I just don’t care about apps at all. The only thing the Apple watch had over this was a more distinct vibration on my wrist.
“If this were to break, I would buy another one because it’s so amazing. Garmin has really shocked me with this watch”.
