Drew Barrymore refers to Meghan Markle as Meghan Sussex after viral moment from her Netflix show

It appears Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is leaving Markle behind.

The former “Suits” star has been promoting her new Netflix lifestyle series, “With Love, Meghan” and recently stopped by “The Drew Barrymore Show.”

During the March 6 appearance, host Drew Barrymore introduced the duchess as Meghan Sussex when kicking off the question-based segment “Fast Five.”

“This is Fast Five with Meghan Sussex,” Barrymore said before asking Meghan about the last time she was “surprised and delighted” and her favorite things her two children do that remind her of husband Prince Harry.

Barrymore’s introduction of the duchess as Meghan Sussex is noteworthy after a clip from “With Love, Meghan, which hit Netflix March 4, went viral.

In the second episode of Meghan’s show, the duchess let Mindy Kaling know that her surname is Sussex, not Markle. The pair were crafting “little sandwiches” when conversation around her name takes place.

After Meghan shared that she had “a lot” of fast food growing up, Kaling asked which were her favorites, and the duchess named Jack in the Box as one of them.

“I don’t think anyone in the world knows that Meghan Markle has eaten Jack in the Box and loves it,” Kaling responded.

Meghan then quipped, “It’s so funny, too, that you keep saying Meghan Markle. You know I’m Sussex now.”

Meghan married Prince Harry in 2018, and the two are parents to son Archie, 5, and daughter Lilibet, 3.

“You have kids and you go, ‘No, I share my name with my children,’” she continued. “This is our family name, our little family name.”

Kaling replied, “Well, now I know and I love it.”
