David Hasselhoff has broken his silence , who was found dead at her Los Angeles home on Wednesday (March 5). Former Baywatch star Pamela, 62, reportedly died by suicide after family “hadn’t heard from her in days”. A gun was found near the actress, according to . David told the outlet: “Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff.

“We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.” Pamela was married to her Baywatch co-star David, 72, from 1989 to 2006, with the pair sharing daughers Hayley, 32, and Taylor, 34. She is survived by her children and granddaughter London.

The actress was best known for playing cafe owner Kaye Morgan on Baywatch as well as her roles i Knight Rider, Cheers, The Fall Guy, TJ Hooker and the Young and the Restless.

In 2011, she appeared on Celebrity Big Brother where she became the second star to leave after being nominated by her rivals and then voted out by the public.

Pamela met David on the set of Knight Rider, with the pair officially tying the knot in 1989. However, the couple decied to file for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences for the reason behind their separation. Following a contentious divorce, both Pamela and David were awarded custody of one daughter.

Their daughter Hayley also paid tribute to her late mother on social media this week, posting a throwback snap of Pamela and David at Universal Studios at the opening of the Jurassic Park ride in 1996. She captioned the post with a white heart emoji.

Pamela had previously opened up about the end of her marriage to David, explaining how alcohol played a role in their separation. She told the : “Everybody thought (David) was the golden star in swimming trunks on the beach with Pamela Anderson, but the drink was taking over his life.

“To me, he was the man who fell over on the bedroom floor. He has a disease, just like cancer. And just like cancer, it ate away at our family from the inside.” In her last post on Instargam on January 1, 2025, she shared her gratitude to her loyal legion of fans online.
