The White House communications team boasted Tuesday that it was fueling up “the MAGA way” for President Donald Trump’s speech to Congress, showing a photo of McDonald’s burgers, fries and nuggets.
“White House Comms is pre-gaming the Joint Session the MAGA way,” Kaelan Dorr, a deputy communications director, wrote on X, formerly Twitter, with an image of the fast-food feast. “Buckle up for Must See TV!”
Of course, Trump and the Golden Arches have been inextricably linked. He spoke of his love for McDonald’s on the campaign trail the first time around. He served McDonald’s and other chain eats to the national champion Clemson Tigers football team at the White House in 2019.

Recently he used the fast-food giant to bait Democratic opponent Kamala Harris, repeatedly accusing her of lying about working at McDonald’s in her youth. A few weeks before the election, he briefly worked the fryer and drive-thru at a Pennsylvania McDonald’s as a photo op to reinforce his claim that the brief time he would toil at McDonald’s would be more than Harris ever did.
