appeared to be frustrated with his performance after losing on .

The Dark Destroyer faced four new contestants, Jacob, Bobbie, Ewan and Linda, who were hoping to walk away with a cash prize. Shaun wasn’t on the best form, answering several questions wrong during his head-to-heads with the team.

However, he did manage to catch Bobbie, meaning he faced three contestants in the final chase. The trio put on an impressive display, especially Jacob, who answered a staggering 17 questions alone.

Before Shaun came out to play, Bradley couldn’t resist praising Jacob’s performance after he helped take the team to a total of 23.

The 64-year-old struggled to catch the team and continued looking at the timer as the last few seconds appeared on the clock. When the timer eventually ran out, Shaun still had four questions to answer, meaning the team walked away with £4,000 each.

Shaun praised the team after the game, but realised it was his “poor” performance that let him down.

“That was a brilliant performance by the team. That was a poor day at the office for me,” Shaun said.

Viewers picked up on Shaun’s questionable form earlier in the episode, with one writing online: “I don’t know how many they’ll get in the final chase but with Shaun’s form, I reckon it’s a win for them.”

Another declared: “Shaun is doing terrible today.”

A third said: “Two thick answers from Shaun already.”

However, despite the loss, fans noted that his performance in the final chase was impressive.

One wrote: “Despite losing to 23, Shaun actually comes out of that with a great deal of credit for at least playing the game at the right speed for a change.”

A second agreed: “For once that’s not actually Shaun, the team was just really good.”

Another echoed: “Shaun actually done quite well there to be fair.”

Jacob, 35, kickstarted the game by heading through to the final chase with £6,000 in the back. After Bobbie was knocked out, the team were hesitant to take the high offers, all sticking with their cash builder earnings.

Third to take on Shaun was 24-year-old Ewan, who sailed through to the final chase with £5,000. Despite Shaun offering Linda an eye-watering £79,000, she followed in her teammate’s footsteps and stuck with the middle offer, taking the team’s overall total to £16,000.
