Princess Kate learns new skill with George, Charlotte and Louis

has been learning a new skill with her three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, in a very ordinary way.

the Princess of Wales, 43, has been teaching herself Welsh on the Duolingo language teaching app, along with her husband .

As well as wanting to learn Welsh themselves, it has been reported that both William, 42, and Kate have been teaching their children George, 11, Charlotte, nine, and Louis, six.

It is believed the couple have been committed to this since becoming the Prince and Princess of Wales after the late Queen’s death in 2022.

While it is not known just how much Welsh Kate, George, Charlotte and Louis can speak, William was able to show off his new skills

A recorded video of the Prince of Wales showed the future King wishing everyone an enjoyable St David’s Day.

A royal source said William “felt it was important” to improve his Welsh skills and speaking abilities as a result of his royal title, which was previously held by his father King Charles, 76.

Last year, said he had been learning the language “phonetically” rather than taking formal lessons.

This is different to the approach taken by Charles, who reportedly the language, including at university.

Speaking on the ITV documentary Charles: 50 years a Prince, he said: “I did my utmost to learn as much as I could.”

He continued: “But in a term it’s quite difficult, and I’m not as brilliant a linguist as I’d like to be.”
