Now, the American news programme has revealed the latest results on how the country really feels about how the President is handling the – conflict. On Tuesday (March 4), broadcaster Lynda Kinkade welcomed Matt Egan onto the show to discuss the latest results from the evening show.

After taking a look at the results, the news presenter revealed: “The easiest way we can ask this is: Do American’s like the way that is handling his job compared to how they felt about ? So, this is the net approval rating.

“If you look at back in 2024, he was minus 22 points under water, holy cow. If you look at , it’s just a different planet entirely. The gulf between these two is wider than the gulf of America or Mexico depending on which side of the isle you’re standing on. He’s at plus two.

“So look, at this particular point Americans are giving the benefit of the doubt, he’s doing considerably better than was doing on the handling of the Russian- conflict. So on this simple question, I think Americans are saying, ‘Alright, Donald Trumps’ doing alright on this’.”

It was at this point that the Lynda probed about how the results impact the – war, asking: “What about specifically on how they [Americans] feel about bringing the war to an end?”

The newsreader revealed that the latest statistics reveal that many Americans would rather a quicker end to the war even if that means that could keep their captured land. He explained: “Questions on this can be quite complicated but I think this gets where the American trendline is.

“Americans on the – war, want a quicker end to the war but keeps captured land – look at this: 50 percent, bare majority coming in here. Support ’s right to fight even if it means a longer war is at 48 percent, this is very, very close”.

He went on: “The trendline on this question is so important because for the quicker end to the war [option], if you go back to August of 2022, it was at 31 percent, now we’re at 50 percent. That is a rocket ship upwards in terms of the Americans who want a quick end to the war even if it means keeps the captured land.

“Americans are moving closer and closer to wanting a compromise even if it means that doesn’t get what it set out to want at least at the beginning of this war”. It comes after Trump again addressed Zelensky’s insistence that a peace deal is some way off while answering questions from journalists, warning him “he better not be right about that.”

Trump is reportedly expected to discuss stopping military aid to following Friday’s bus-up, which cast further doubt on the Republican’s commitment to European security and efforts to prevent further aggression by President Putin.
