Civilization 7 developer Firaxis has released a major new upate for the strategy game on , Xbox, PC and .
The new Civ 7 update adds new content, makes various gameplay tweaks and fixes some critical bugs that have plagued the game since launch.
Developer Firaxis will be hoping the release of Civ 7 update 1.1.0 will lead to improved user scores on platforms like Steam, where the game currently has a Mixed rating.
As you can see from the patch highlights below, update 1.1.0 introduces brand new content like the Bermuda Triangle.
The free Bermuda Triangle content drop is listed as a new Natural Wonder that’s available for all players.
Elsewhere, Civ 7 update 1.1.0 makes small tweaks and big changes to the user-interface, as recommended by the community.
That’s on top of what Firaxis describes as significant changes to the Modern Age’s Cultural Legacy Path and Victory. According to the patch notes, AI leaders will be better at completing a Cultural Victory after the release of the new update.
Players will be happy to hear that they can now convert Holy Cities in the Exploration Age, while Missionary Units will always follow the player’s chosen Religion.
Arguably best of all, however, is that Firaxis has fixed an issue with multiplayer, specifically a bug preventing players from adding friends with a 2K account.
Update 1.1.0 is one of multiple new downloads launching in the coming weeks. According to the Civ 7 roadmap, a new update on March 25 will add Everest as a Natural Wonder, as well as a quick move function and customisation options.
Future updates will continue to address complaints with the user-interface, add new map sizes and modding tools.
