A much stronger line-up compared to February, the next batch of free games have a March 4 release date. The free and games should be available to download and install from around midday UK time. Subscribers have until April 1 to redeem the PS Plus Essentials for March, so make sure you don’t delay.
The March games have a joins the line-up, despite only launching at the end of October.
Dragon Age Veilguard is the latest action role-playing game from BioWare. The game earned largely positive reviews from critics, but has been less popular with gamers. This led to lower than expected sales, which is why Dragon Age finds itself in the PS Plus line-up so early in its lifecycle.
The game takes place in the land of Thedas, where a team of seven companions are on a quest to destroy a pair of corrupt gods.
Sony explains more: “Unite the Veilguard and defy the gods in this immersive single-player RPG where you become the leader others believe in. When a pair of corrupt ancient gods break free from centuries of darkness, the vibrant land of Thedas needs someone they can count on.
“Rise as Rook, Dragon Age’s newest hero. Be who you want to be and play how you want to play as you fight back and lead your team of seven companions, each with their own rich story. Together you will become The Veilguard.”
Veilguard is joined by action platformer Sonic Colours: Ultimate, which sees the SEGA mascot speed through stages with the help of the Wisps.
The Wisps each have their own unique abilities, letting Sonic drill through the environment or rocket through the air.
The game I’m most excited to play is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection for PS4 and PS5.
The collection features 13 classic TMNT games from the 80s and 90s. The games come with a selection of quality-of-life improvements, including online multiplayer, saves, rewinds and button mapping. That’s on top of concept art, TV spots and other fun behind-the-scenes content.
Needless to say, you can consider this your last chance to redeem the PS Plus Essential games for February.
This includes multiplayer heist game Payday 3, as well as High on Life and Pac-Man World Re-Pac.
Pac-Man World Re-Pac is well worth checking out, featuring dozens of platform stages, as well as various mini-games.
