Meghan Markle opens up on five-word plea issued by Prince Archie in ‘sweetest’ moment

In a rare interview, described a candid moment with her eldest child, , five, as he issued a plea to his working mum. The Duchess of Sussex has been extremely busy facing a re-launch of her brand, now called ‘As Ever’, and awaiting the launch of her new show titled ‘With Love, Meghan’,

Meghan described the family moment that happened after she arrived back home from the Invictus Games in to reunite with her children. The California-based royal said Archie sleepily told her: “Mama, don’t work too hard.” Recalling the moment in an interview with magazine, she added: “It was the sweetest thing”. The Duchess of Sussex also explained the intense scrutiny she faced while navigating her business.

She said: “I appreciate everyone who gave me the grace to make mistakes and figure it out and also to be forgiving with myself through that. It’s a learning curve.”

Despite Meghan’s return to social media, launching her handle @meghan at the start of the year, Meghan said: “I see myself as an entrepreneur and a female founder, and if the brand ends up influential, then that’s great.”

The eight-part series will be released tomorrow on the streaming platform, and Meghan has explained how it’s not about striving for perfection. She said: “The series is about doing what you can do, and doing it with love.”

Meghan also opened up in one of her most intimate interviews to date and spoke about how a friend came up with the name for the show. She said: “Their takeaway was they were so happy to see me as myself. She said, ‘It’s like your love letter to all the things you’ve loved to do, and if you’re signing off a love letter, it’s ‘With Love, Meghan’.

“It felt right, and I loved that my friend helped create it.”

The series is accompanied by the mother-of-two’s new merchandise range ‘As Ever’ – , which was said to be “especially meaningful”.

She said of her latest project: “I love the heritage feeling of it and knowing this is something that I can create in front of my daughter and teach her what it’s like to be a working mom. This is something that hopefully can be part of her legacy too.”

According to promotional material, the new series will see her and her celebrity guests roll “up their sleeves in the kitchen, the garden, and beyond, and invite you to do the same”.

With Love, Meghan was filmed on a £5million California estate and features several of the Duchess’ friends including star Mindy Kaling,

The Duchess’s new show is set to be released on Tuesday, March 4, having been delayed from its first premiere date of January 15 after devastating wildfires tore through Los Angeles.
