The season 14 finale of Call the Midwife on BBC One was a whirlwind of emotions for Nancy Corrigan, portrayed by Megan Cusack. As her wedding day approached, she shared her pregnancy news with her closest friends at Nonnatus House.
Initially believing she was seven months pregnant, it turned out her baby was further along and made an early entrance into the world. A frightened Nancy delivered a baby girl in an ambulance with the assistance of Nurse Crane, played by Linda Bassett.

Yes, the confirmed two more seasons of the drama back in 2023, ensuring another series.
Heidi Thomas, the show’s creator, expressed her delight at the renewal, revealing that the new series will delve into the personal and professional lives of the midwives and nuns at their workplace, Nonnatus House, as they transition into the 1970s.
She exclaimed: “We are a family behind the scenes, on the screen, and in front of the telly, and I’m thrilled that we’re all heading into the 1970s together.”
When is Call the Midwife season 15 likely to air?
Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Call the Midwife season 15, and although an official date has not been confirmed, it’s expected to follow the traditional pattern.
A festive special will kick off the season, with episodes likely starting in January.

How many episodes will Call the Midwife season 15 have?
The upcoming series is set to feature eight one-hour episodes, plus the Christmas special, airing Sundays on One.
Dame Pippa Harris, the show’s executive producer, expressed pride in the programme’s success, stating it’s a “tremendous achievement and it’s a testament to the passion and dedication of our cast and crew, of whom I’m very proud”.
