Snoop Dogg is a grandpa again.
The rapper’s only daughter, Cori Broadus, has welcomed her first child with her fiancé, Wayne Duece.
Broadus announced the birth of her daughter on Instagram Friday, Feb. 28, by posting a photo of her newborn’s foot.
“The princess arrived at 6 months,” she wrote in the caption. “I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself because I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what God always shows me that He got me!”
She added, “Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s the best!! Thank You God for getting me this far.”
Broadus got candid about her birth experience on her Instagram story. In one slide, she shared a photo of herself while in the hospital.
“1st c-section was a success,” she wrote on the photo. “s/o to the man up above.”
She shared more about her health in another frame, writing that she went to the doctor thinking she “just had a bad case of gas.” However, she said she was developing HELLP syndrome.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, HELLP syndrome is a rare pregnancy condition, related to preeclampsia. Symptoms include blurred vision, fatigue, pain in the upper portion of the belly or swelling. It’s common for women with HELLP syndrome to have to deliver early.
“Doctors told me thank you for coming and if I would’ve waited a few more days it would’ve been really bad,” Broadus said. “Ladies please listen to your bodies and don’t believe everything you see on TIK TOK (talking to myself lowkey).”
Broadus revealed that she was having a daughter in December 2024. At the time, she shared her dad’s reaction during an interview with “E! News,” explaining, “My mom and dad were so excited, their baby girl is having a baby.
“My dad was hoping for a grandson, though,” she added.
Snoop Dogg is a father to four children. He shares three kids with his wife and high school sweetheart, Shante Taylor: sons Cordé and Cordell, born in 1994 and 1997, and daughter Cori, born in 1999. He is also a father to son Julian from a past relationship.
He officially became a grandpa for the eighth time when Cori welcomed her daughter.
Cordé welcomed his son Zion with his ex-girlfriend, Jessica Kyzer, in 2015. He also welcomed three children with Soraya Love: daughter Elleven and sons Kai and Sky. Kai died 10 days after he was born, People reported.
