Like many other houseplants, water is essential for peace lilies. However, there is a certain way to water them.
Rachel instructed: “Water once or twice a week and make sure the water is absorbed from the base, rather than being poured directly onto the leaves.”
This helps prevent root rot while allowing the plant to take in “just the right amount” of water.

Keep an eye on their leaves because if you notice them starting to droop, the plant is telling you that it “needs water”. Rachel said: “A quick drink should perk it back up.”
As well as water, the lighting conditions of the room it’s kept in are key to get your peace lilies to bloom.
Peace lilies are adaptable and can flourish in various light conditions, however, they “thrive best” in bright, indirect light.

Rachel noted that this houseplant is a great addition to offices, living rooms, and even bedrooms.
Humidity also plays a big role in coaxing peace lilies to bloom, given the hot climate they originate from. This can be done by misting.
The expert said: “You should also spray watery mist at peace lilies weekly, as it mimics their natural tropical habitat and removes dust. Your peace lily will look lush and healthy all season long.”
