spin off Suits LA got off to a strong start attracting more viewers than the original did during ‘s tenure on the show.
Airing on Sunday nights on in America, live viewers combined with streaming figures for the channel’s player Peacock show it has now hit 4.7 million viewers for the series debut on February 23, with 2.61 million of those tuning in for the broadcast.
The figure, which is based on Nielsen ratings and NBC’s internal data, is also likely to rise as this was recorded after just three days.
When the original began in 2011 it averaged 4.6 million viewers for the entire season meaning if Suits LA keeps up this momentum it wil beat it in the ratings.
By the time Meghan, 43, exited the role of Rachel Zane in 2017, prior to her marriage to in May 2018, ratings had dropped significantly year on year. Her final season, the shows seventh, only averaged 1.3 million viewers.

Following her exit, season 8 saw further decline averaging 1.2 million viewers, 100,000 less than its seventh season and the series was axed in January 2019. The news will prove a blow for Meghan as it appears the spin off will be more successful than the original. However if she begins to pine for the show that made her famous .
Speaking to , he said: “So to me, we have thought about whether it be Meghan or any of the other cast members coming on and playing themselves as an actor. I think for me that’s a little… My brain blows up at the thought of that. So I think it blows up the world too much… Obviously, if Meghan wants to come back under any circumstances, Meghan can come back.”
Suits went on to have another life after it was aquired by in 2023 setting a viewing time record for an acquired series in the week of June 26-July 2, with 3.14 billion minutes of watch time.
