March is a poignant month on the lunar calendar and Gregorian calendar, and it marks a busy time for each of the 12 signs.

In Western , the zodiac signs are determined by dividing the Earth’s orbit around the Sun into 12 equal 30-degree sections, called “signs,” with each sign corresponding to a specific period of the year based on where the Sun is positioned in the sky at the time of your birth.

The month ahead will unfold differently for each sign, and it’s a mixed bag for some, warns celebrity psychic and astrologer .

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk on behalf of Pressbox, she said: “This month brings a couple of firsts to our door. The first eclipse of the year, on March 14, will occur on the full moon in , a time of heightened emotions and letting go, enhancing the already emotional season of Pisces.

“The first Mercury retrograde of the year from March 15 onwards will create havoc around social media and online conversations. With the Mercury retrograde bringing the past back to the fore and the Full setting up some goodbyes, there’s a good chance that we’ll be tempted to say no to new opportunities and yes to giving things another go with an ex or a previous workplace.”

Pisces – February 19 to March 20

Happy Pisces season! If you’re feeling a little seasick, it is because the planets that visit your sign this month – chatty Mercury and romantic Venus are in retrograde. They’ve been in your sign in January and February, and as they reverse back into Pisces, you’ll get a sense of deja vu, going over old ground with partners and friends. The same old conversations and arguments are all the proof you need that you need a fresh start. Hopefully, the total Lunar eclipse will bring the winds of change into your life.”

Aries – March 21 to April 19

You love keeping active and rushing forward, so this month is a mixed blessing for you, Aries. Venus, the planet of love, is in your sign until March 26, and Mercury, the planet of communication, is in your sign between March 3 and 29, which means love and social occasions will beckon. However, the majority of this joyfulness is dampened by retrogrades. Venus is in retrograde for the whole month, so your romantic moments will be racked with uncertainty. Mercury is in retrograde from the 15th, meaning your social occasions will be hit-and-miss.

Taurus – April 20 to May 20

The Moon visits your sign twice this month, Taurus, which isn’t too common. It happens next month, too, but then not till December. This checks in with your emotions at the very start of the month and then again at the very end. Between March 3 and 6, the Moon in Taurus is intuitive and dreamy, and it also sits right by Uranus, the planet of rebellion. Careful not to go to war over causes that are unclear to you. The final day of the month presents the Moon in Taurus again, calling on you to think back and check – was the previous emotional stage good for you? Now you know whether to go ahead and invest yourself in feelings again.

Gemini – May 21 to June 21

The first Mercury retrograde of the year grabs you by the throat because Mercury is your ruling planet. You’re a chatty and sociable sign, Gemini, and your ruling planet is the communicative and smart Mercury. It’s a non-stop party when things go well for the two of you. Social gatherings, email chit-chat, and swiping are all day long. When Mercury is retrograde, however, life feels more stilted. You may lose touch with some friends starting on March 15, shop deliveries could get mixed up, and dates could get cancelled at the last moment.

Cancer – June 21 to July 22

The Moon is your ruler; therefore, every new and full moon impacts your life, Cancer. The year’s first eclipse is sure to leave an impression, as it includes the moon playing an active part. On March 14, during the Full Moon in Virgo, the moon moves into the Earth’s shadow. As Virgo is a meticulous and organised month, those qualities are plunged into the shadows, so you’ll find that it’s harder for you to maintain a neat and orderly direction in your life for the period of the total Lunar eclipse.

Leo – July 23 to August 22

Your ruling planet, the Sun, is never too far away from chatty planet Mercury or romantic planet Venus; that’s just how they’re set up in the sky. However, this month, we have a short, two-day period when those two planets high-five the Sun quickly, so their influence on you is felt acutely. When the Sun is in playful Aries, both planets are retrograde in Aries, moving backwards towards Pisces. On March 23, the Sun meets Venus, and a love ex returns from the shadows to greet you. On the 24th, the Sun greets Mercury, meaning an old friend returns too.

Virgo – August 23 to September 22

The moon and the sun will face off on March 14, with the Sun in Pisces and the moon in Virgo. This happens every full moon, but this month, something special happens. During this Virgo full moon, which is your best time for manifesting, we’ll also experience a total Lunar eclipse. In astrology, eclipses are a time for endings and breakdowns, so be prepared. Of course, Virgo, you’re always prepared, that’s your thing – but be mentally prepared for the chance that you might need to say a surprise goodbye to something or someone.

Libra – September 23 to October 22

Your ruling planet, Venus, is in charge of love and beauty, which is why those values mean so much to you, Libra. This planet is retrograde all month, which can bring some romantic confusion and ex-partners creeping back from the shadows. Until March 27, this planet is in playful Aries, so you don’t fall for the charms of those placed in the bin long ago. When Venus moves into romantic Pisces, the risk is greater, and you might find your heart growing softer and possibly forgiving the unforgiven.

Scorpio – October 23 to November 21

When your ruling planet, Pluto, takes twenty years to go through each sign, you can observe the twists and turns in life via other planets and how they relate to Pluto. At the moment, this planet is in Aquarius, which means you feel encouraged to volunteer and help others out, sharing in your good fortune. But Pluto will be boosted by the moon on March 5 and 15, when it creates a fortuitous angle to the lunar disk. On those days, your luck is in, and if you share, your luck will multiply. Be open to receiving.

Sagittarius – November 22 to December 21

Sometimes, a monthly can be quite complex, full of twists and turns, ups and downs. This month, there will be no complications or interruptions for you, Sagittarius. Generous Jupiter, your ruling planet, controls wealth and luck. This planet is in sociable Gemini all month long. It is nice and easy, with no retrogrades or weird mix-ups. This is the kind of month where you don’t need a plan, you don’t need a strategy, and you can depend on your natural good fortune. Go to a party and come back with a job offer. Pop to the tip and meet the partner of your dreams. You can do what you like, preferably out and about, and the results will be spectacular.

Capricorn – December 22 to January 19

Between March 22 and 25, when the moon is in Capricorn, you’ll feel more alert in the nighttime and may even experience prophetic dreams. The first day of this journey is challenging, with the Sun, Mercury and Venus all forming an unfortunate angle with the moon. Yet, only two days later, all of the aforementioned planets create a wonderful angle which promotes the qualities of all those planets in your life. Therefore, your self-esteem, communication skills, and love life will change from cloudy to sunny in a space of 48 hours.

Aquarius – January 20 to February 18

Pluto, the planet of rebirth, is in Aquarius, where it will stay for the next two decades. This means that your life will be a bit of a rollercoaster, and just like a rollercoaster, there are as many up-swings as down. This planet creates a favourable angle to the moon on March 15, which will help put the wind in your sails and encourage you to follow your dreams. Even better, when the moon itself is in Aquarius on the 25th and the 26th, those changes ride right into the impossible, making it possible, so it’s a good time to take a gamble and apply for the job you’re not qualified for because you might get it.
