Andre Onana running out of lives with Manchester United replacement obvious

Andre Onana is running out of lives at Manchester United.

When the keeper came racing out of his goal like a bull in a china shop against Ipswich, the whole world knew what would happen next.

Patrick Dorgu knocked the ball past his own goalkeeper and little old Ipswich went 1-0 up. This isn’t a surprise anymore.

It’s not uncommon for a keeper to have a poor start at a new club.

David De Gea really struggled when he joined in 2011 but went on to have an excellent career.

The key difference here is De Gea arrived as a 20-year-old with mistakes to make. Onana is a month away from turning 29.

These amateurish errors should have been out of his system a decade ago.

A Premier League keeper cannot spill a routine save straight to a striker’s feet, have poor communication with his defenders or concede directly from a corner (twice!). And that is just in the past four months.

has to stop the leak and give Altay Bayindir his well-deserved chance between the sticks.

Eubank’s eggcelent job

Chris Eubank Jr has done a cracking job in promoting his upcoming fight with Conor Benn.

Boxing needs controversial moments to sell the bout and shelling an egg across his opponent’s face got the world’s attention.

But surely fighters have to be searched before stepping on the stage with somebody they ‘hate’, or the situation could get out of hand.

Buttler burried

Jos Buttler deserves the heat for England’s shocking ninth defeat in 10 limited-over matches.

Losing to Afghanistan, who were 100-1 outsiders, is unforgivable.

Buttler also faced criticism for England refusing to go on strike over Afghanistan’s oppression of women since the Taliban resumed control.

Let the players play. Those decisions must be made higher up.
