The so-called “billionaire’s row of Africa” is located on the Atlantic sea border stretching 25 kilometres from Hout Bay to Sea Point in Cape Town.

When it comes to real estate, is an extremely desirable location for many and the most sought-after location in Africa.

The huge houses that look like “spaceships” might be a reason why.

According to the creator, this fancy neighbourhood competes with the likes of Beverly Hills and Bel Air – some of the most famous in the world.

He said: “The properties often feature breathtaking views and sophisticated architecture that cannot be found anywhere else on the continent.”

But, living luxurious comes with a heavy price. Some of the homes listed are worth $35 million, just short of a whopping £30 million.

There are multiple residental areas scattered across this extravagent region with a number of properties from beautiful two-bedroom apartments to massive villas. However, the affluent suburb of Clifton is where you’ll find the country’s most expensive real estate.

The homes nestled on the cliffs provide the most enchanting views of the atlantic ocean. The area is renowned for its white sand beaches loved by both the locals and tourists.

While Clifton has a number of things that would attract travellers to the area, living there is a completely different story.

“The majority of people that own [properties] here are investors, business orientators, a lot of internationals.  I mean, it’s difficult for the locals to keep up with the property prices in this area, particularly because it is such an international destination,” luxury realtor Jodi Smith explained to Steven in the video.

Clifton’s properties are in high demand so being able to own one would be a “dream” for many, in fact the demand is so high that there is currently no free land to build any more properties.

It’s not just the “mountainside mansions” you’ll find in Clifton; the neighbourhood also features “beachside bungalows” and apartments.

Meanwhile, the remarkable villas boast enormous windows and extraordinary balconies with the most of the breathtaking views of the sea.
