Shortly before 11 a.m., RCMP received a report of a possible explosion and fire at a residence located in the 7300-block of 196th Street.
Two people are in critical condition and several residences were evacuated after a fire and possible explosion at a house on Friday morning in the Township of Langley.

It happened shortly before 11 a.m. in the 7300-block of 196th Street.
Firefighters, paramedics and police are at the site, which is located in the newly developed Willoughby neighbourhood.
Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to two patients, who were then transported by ground ambulance to Routley Park, where they met two air ambulance helicopters.
The two patients were transported to hospital via air ambulance in critical condition under the care of critical care paramedics,” said BCEHS public information officer Rachelle Bown.
Residences in the surrounding area have been evacuated. Langley RCMP say the cause of the fire, which has reportedly spread to other houses, has not yet been determined.
There is a road closure on 196th Street between 72nd and 74th Ave and several side streets are also affected.
Motorists and road users are being asked to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
