Shortly before 11 a.m., RCMP received a report of a possible explosion and fire at a residence located in the 7300-block of 196th Street.
Several residences were evacuated on Friday morning in Township of Langley after a fire and possible explosion at a house.

Shortly before 11 a.m., Langley RCMP were called out to a residence located in the 7300-block of 196th Street.
First responders from Langley Fire, Emergency Health Services and Langley RCMP are at the site. Residences in the surrounding area have been evacuated.
Langley RCMP say the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Investigators have not yet said whether anyone was injured.
There is an indefinite road closure on 196th Street between 72nd and 74th Ave and several side streets are also affected.
Motorists and road users are being asked to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
