Reform deal crushing blow to Labour in latest election win as they sweep to easy victory

Reform dealt yet another blow to the Conservatives last night as they cruised to an easy landslide win at the ballot box.

Voters in the Bedingfield ward in Breckland (Norfolk) got their say on the current political state of affairs, and gifted Reform a major win.

Despite not standing in the ward previously, Reform won a whopping 54.3% of the vote.

Meanwhile the crashed down 25.2 points to just 27.4%, and Labour also collapsed from 27.1% last time to just 13% last night.

Party chairman Zia Yusuf described it as “another big by-election win for Reform”.

However it underlines ’s frustration about local elections being cancelled, as Norfolk would have proved a very strong area for the party had the local Tory administration not requested the wholesale election be delayed due to the local government reorganisation.

At a press conference in February, accused Labour and the of “cowardice” in delaying a number of crucial council elections, originally set for this May.

He highlighted Essex and Norfolk as two of the areas Reform would have won dozens of seats, and perhaps even won control of the councils.

While the performed poorly in Breckland, they did deal a bloody nose to Labour in the heart of Westminster.

The took the Vincent Square ward, a stone’s throw from the House of Commons, with 45.4% of the vote.

Labour, who previously held the council seat, lost 10.6 points from their previous vote share, finishing with just 32.5%.

Reform managed a respectable third place with 9.6%, in an area not typically favourable for them, and beat the LibDems into fourth place.

Meanwhile the LibDems held onto a seat in the Lake District with 67.2% of the vote, with no Labour candidate.

Last night Reform came top in yet another opinion poll, FindOutNow, who found them leading all other parties with 28% of the vote.

Labour were in second, on 23%, with the on a poor third place at 21% support.
