Millie Bobby Brown Stands Tall Against Backlash Over Her New Hairstyle

Millie Bobby Brown has no time for critics of her new hairstyle.

On Thursday, the “Stranger Things” actor responded to the online frenzy over her recent look with a screenshot of a British Vogue article that bore the headline: “No One Cares How Old You Think Millie Bobby Brown Looks.”

“Thank you,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories, also tagging the outlet.

Brown’s comment comes days after she divided fans with her appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of her new Netflix movie, “The Electric State.”

The 21-year-old wore a striking metallic gown to the event, which she attended with her husband Jake Bongiovi.

Much of the criticism, however, was leveled at her blonde tresses, which were styled in a throwback updo.

The look drew comparisons to a number of other famous blondes, most of whom are much older than Brown, like Pamela Anderson, Zsa Zsa Gabor and even Ivana Trump, the late ex-wife of President Donald Trump, who died in 2022 at age 73.

Some of the comments on social media were brutal.

“Why does she insist on making herself look 20 years older than she is,” one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Added another: “She’s younger than her husband but she looks old enough to be his mother.”

Though Brown kept her hair down for Thursday’s European premiere of “The Electric Slate,” she’s been known to clap back at vitriolic comments about her looks.

“Women grow!! Not sorry about it,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories in January after a mirror selfie drew criticism from fans who seemingly expect her to resemble her young “Stranger Things” character, Eleven, even as the show is gearing up to debut its fifth and final season almost nine years after it began.
