“Dateline” is back tonight with a thrilling new true crime story — and an exciting debut.
After being named a permanent member of the Dateline team last October, Blayne Alexander makes her debut as a Dateline correspondent in the Feb. 28 episode.
She spoke about her experiences with Dateline during a TODAY appearance on Feb. 26. “The folks there are incredible, everybody is very, very kind,” Alexander told Al Roker.
Alexander has been a part of the NBC News family since 2017, starting as a Washington-based correspondent for the NBC News Channel.
After going on maternity leave in May 2024, she is back in the saddle, now taking on thrilling true crime stories alongside Lester Holt and the rest of the “Dateline” team — Andrea Canning, Josh Mankiewicz, Keith Morrison and Dennis Murphy.
“I’ve been watching ‘Dateline’ since I was a little girl,” Alexander said on TODAY on Oct. 8, “And so to be here, to be part of this institution, just means everything.”
