Emmerdale April’s baby daddy ‘finally revealed’ as new face confirmed for ITV soap

A brand new bad boy is set to hit the Dales in ITV’s – with fans already thinking they know exactly who he is. The soap confirmed that former Casualty star Shebz Miah is due to take on the role of Kammy in coming episodes.

The character will get off to an explosive start in the fictional village as his first scenes will see him stealing a quad bike from Moira’s farm, leading to the finger being pointed at Ross (Michael Parr). He soon bumps into Sarah (Katie Hill) and the pair strike up a relationship. Producers have promised that the newcomer will introduce an element of danger, romance, excitement and his inherent charm to the village.

However, fans seem to think that they already know what will be in store for the character with them predicting that he could turn out to be the man who got April pregnant. Posting to , one avid viewer suggested: “Knowing soaps, he’s probably April’s baby daddy or Sarah will cheat on Jacob with him.”

Others thought that the actor would not be staying for long, with his demise already planned as one wrote: “Another new character who is soon to be written off. What happened to Suni, Nicky, Ethan, Marcus, Naomi, Suni’s dad, and Nate, to name a few? They came, stayed for a while, and then disappeared.”

One more predicted: “It’ll be another so called bad boy who will be forced to have beef with a randomly selected villager, either Ross or someone else for no real reason and will almost certainly end up bedding half the women in the village. Then after 3-6 months if that, he’ll be written out or given barely any stories of real interest.”

Speaking of taking on the new role, Shebz said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the cast of . Everyone has been so welcoming and I already feel like a part of the family.

“I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better job – the character is such an exciting one to play and Kammy will definitely ruffle a few feathers, but he does have the gift of the gab so although he causes a lot of mischief, I think it will be hard not to like him!”

producer Laura Shaw added: “We are delighted to be welcoming Shebz to as cheeky charmer Kammy. Charismatic, with a very playful spirit, but ultimately kind at heart, Yorkshire lad Kammy promises to bring both excitement and danger to the village.”
