has taken to social media to share that US President found the time for a 15-minute phone call despite ongoing negotiations over a peace deal between and . The broadcaster posted a photo appearing friendly with the political leader suggested he had inside knowledge about the talks which is looking to settle the hostile war which started in 2022.
Piers wrote: “President @realDonaldTrump called me for a 15-minute phone call earlier today.. he was on very upbeat form, excited for his historic second UK State Visit (first US President to ever have 2, and at invitation of 2 Monarchs) and sounding very positive re Britain. Great to hear.” Russian President first met with US officials in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday (February 25) to discuss a deal which could bring an end to the war. However, things have since taken a tense turn after Trump has stunned the world by calling off a deal with saying President Zelensky is “not ready for peace if America is involved”.

In the shocking statement posted on Truth Social, Trump disclosed: “I have determined President Zelensky is not ready for peace if America is involved, because he feels our involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations.
“I don’t want advantage, I want PEACE. He disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for peace.”
This remains a surprising turn of events following the seemingly positive meeting between Trump and Prime Minister which ended with an official invite from the King for a second state visit.
According to Piers, the US leader is keen to take up the invitation and is “excited” to meet with the King. This marks as many phone calls between the two as their unlikely friendship dates back 17 years.

Trump and Piers became friends after the broadcaster competed and won Celebrity Apprentice USA, which was hosted by the President, then business mogul, in 2008.
The 59-year-old opened up about their close bond on talk show , telling the host that Trump phoned him just days before he was sworn in as President.
After admitting “he calls me quite a lot,” Piers said that he called to tell him how good he looks on TV.
Piers told Lorraine: “He called me the other day, it was absolutely hilarious, and I kid you, not, this is how the conversation went, ‘Piers, it’s Donald; I’m watching you on TV with Melania and I just said to Melania, wow he’s looking great.'”
