With the 2024 NFL season over and the 2025 NFL draft approaching, football prospects have an opportunity to make a name for themselves at the NFL scouting combine.

The NFL sent 329 invitations to the nation’s top football prospects to participate in the 2025 scouting combine, many of whom are expected to be selected in the first couple of rounds of the NFL draft in April.

Among the prospects invited were all four Heisman Trophy finalists: Miami quarterback Cam Ward, Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel, Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty and Heisman Trophy winner and two-way player Travis Hunter of Colorado.

Other top prospects receiving invitations include Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter, regarded as a potential No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft. Carter will not be working out at the combine due to injury.

Despite receiving an invitation, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, son of NFL Hall of Famer and Colorado football head coach Deion Sanders, will not be throwing in the combine and plans to focus on personal interviews with teams, according to NFL Network. Sanders will instead work out at Colorado’s pro day, which does not have a set date.
