specialist Screwfix has been voted the top retailer for , scoring full marks in a number of areas.
The polling conducted by Which? asked 2,097 people about their experiences buying , asking them to rate stores in a variety of areas from customer service, product quality and value for money.
The retailer scored full marks in areas such as customer service, website functionality and after sales service, whilst scoring a minimum of 4/5 in every other area.
One customer told Which?: “I love shopping there. Fantastic customer service, great range of products, excellent prices and speedy delivery on click and collect.”
Brewers and Johnstone’s Decorating Centre complete the top three with both companies scoring highly in areas such as customer service and product quality.

Tool Station made it up to fourth place but was the highest rated company not to be given a Which Recommended Provider status due to a belief that “its returns policies on faulty goods aren’t up to scratch.”
They added: “We think the wording of its policies could lead customers to wrongly believe they can’t return items bought online if they’ve been opened and inspected.
“We also think the wording could lead customers to believe they have fewer rights than they do in relation to faulty goods, particularly more than 30 days after purchase – we’ve written to Toolstation asking it to make changes.”
Towards the other end of the scale, it was bad news for , despite a ringing endorsement from Coleen Rooney on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
The bargain retailer placed third from bottom, ranking poorly in areas such as customer service and product range/availability.

Embattled store comes second from bottom with a customer score of just 57%.
The chain went into administration in November and there are fears that the collapse could lead to thousands of job losses.
Finishing bottom of the survey was who scored poorly in areas such as quality, product range and ironically given its name, value for money.
One customer said: “Products not of high quality – cheap purchase – had to throw away after use.”
