Netflix has just added a ‘powerful and intense’ film to its roster that some viewers claim has rekindled their love for cinema.
The Outrun, which only hit the big screen last year, has now found a new home on the popular streaming platform.
Released in 2024, the movie will be available from Thursday (February 27) as part of ‘s extensive library for subscribers to enjoy at their convenience.
The film features Saoirse Ronan in the lead role and is an adaptation of the memoir by journalist and author Amy Liptrot.
Ronan portrays Rona, a woman who, after a stint in rehab for alcoholism, returns to her childhood home in Scotland’s Orkney Islands.

With an impressive 82% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, The Outrun quickly became a favourite during awards season. There were whispers that Ronan might be in the running for an Oscar nomination for her performance.
Although she didn’t receive an Oscar nod, she was nominated for a BAFTA, but lost out to Mikey Madison for Anora.
